Attractions: Disney's main gate is an honest eleven miles away; 15 minutes or less in normal traffic. Universal studios, Wet and Wild, Sea world, and all the rest of the good stuff is 20-25 minutes. Tampa is 70 miles west and Cocoa Beach 60 miles east. So if you want to go to Cape Canaveral on the east coast or Busch Gardens on the west its about 90 minutes to either. If a more sedate pace is your style visit one of the springs; Silver Springs outside of Ocala is my favorite. A canoe ride on one of the many lakes and streams is always fun; the more adventuresome may want to sample an airboat tour. There are so many world class attractions in this area that a week is barely adequate; better plan on staying for two.
Local Area: The condo is three blocks from rt. 192 with all the shopping you could want. There is a convenience store on the corner about 250 yards from your front door, plus several churches (one catholic) within easy walking distance. The area is virtually all developed as condos and most are mixed use as this one is.
Amenities:A heated pool is just steps from your front door, two lighted tennis courts just a little further. A private patio with furniture and a gas grill may be found outside the rear slider. Furnishings are as follows: washer/dryer, dishwasher, disposal, electric stove, full size refrigerator, microwave, two tv's with cable hookup, a vcr, local phone [bring your telephone credit card to call home] and a 266 mhz Pentium PC with internet service. All the kitchen and bath stuff are provided including a toaster, blender, coffee maker , electric broom, pots and pans, dishes and bowls, glassware, silverware, cooking tools, towels and linens, and anything else we could think of. |
